In an unknown structure in an unknown location, deep within the Land of Vano, a man sat upon a dark throne, pondering on what was soon to come.

Tomorrow would mark the day that this man's dreams were realized.

Many years ago, it was his dream to become the Divine Slayer, the militaristic leader of his homeland, and use his power gifted to him by the God’s to protect the land and lead it to prosperity.

But Pandarum had betrayed him, worse yet the God’s who he has faithfully served have forsaken him. His dreams had crumbled, and he himself was left forgotten only a footnote to the place  he once called home. He abandoned his home to hone his own powers on the promise that one day, he would return to the city that cast him out, and it would burn to the ground in a dark inferno.

Years passed as the man attempted to train his powers to the level that he needed to destroy Pandarum.  Unable to reach an appropriate power level, Mordred grew desperate.

And as they say desperation breads vultures.

Instead of simple carnivorous birds, his desperation attracted something much more deadly: Vano the God of destruction itself. Vano sensed Mordred’s desire for revenge and fed off of it. Offering him ultimate power with a price, the price being Mordred’s very own body. His body will stand as the gateway between Vano’s world and the world of man.  Accepting those agreements with the utmost gusto, Mordred was given access to the power of a Vano.

Becoming something more. Not nearly as powerful as a God but not a human anymore.

With the acceptance of the Power from Vano Mordred had become a Semideus, a human with the soul and power of a Vaconic being.

With the creation of a Semideus the Vaconic and the Human are no longer two different individuals but one entirely new organism.

When he had thought he had mastered his gift he returned to Zebar, to Pandarum, arrogant of his own powers and believing that he alone was strong enough to take over one of the most powerful establishments in the world. However, he had failed, and Arthur Phoenix, the Divine Slayer at that time, had been able to defeat him with the power of the God's.

With his defeat he bided his time, he knew that he would have his vengeance all he had to do was wait. And wait he did.

With the power of a God on one's side, time just becomes a simple obstacle to climb.

Eventually the Phoenix clan had been erased from the earth, with barely any survivors. Pandarum was disgusting; to be allow such a thing to happen...a corrupt system, where the balance between what's right and wrong for the entire city is decided behind closed doors in dark rooms doused with darkness. He would put an end to that. With the death of Pandarum, he would give birth to a new city out of the ashes of old.

Pandarum would fall.

He had gone great lengths to summon the great dragon Zagros, Vano's personal summon, and tame the beast to become his own personal summon, but he had done it. And now, with his own power and the mighty power of Zagros, he would be an unstoppable force that would level the city. Arthur Phoenix the only knight besides himself capable of possibly controlling the dragon, had long since passed away.

Despite that, another Phoenix had stepped up to become Divine Slayer, and had formed a homegrown military unit in order to stop people like him to appear as well as to protect himself at the same time. But that Divine Slayer had also passed away. Another one had recently retired as well, and a new young man had stepped up to inherit the Flame of Zebar, Ace Wyne.

This name made the man pause for the first time in indecision, for this knight was the only wild card in his grand scheme. Everyone in the knight world knew of this powerful fighter, and he was also claimed to be the most powerful being in the world, but did this Divine Slayer have what it takes to stop him, a near immortal Semideus as well as Lord Zagros, personal summon of Vano and God of Vaconics?

Only time would tell, and that time was coming very soon.

He chuckled darkly and ignited a dark flame on top of his fingertips as he eagerly anticipated his own return to his homeland. And what a glorious return it would be.
"The entire city will burn," Mordred softly said to himself as he closed his eyes and envisioned the destroyed remains of the once proud city that had scorned him.

The room was consumed with a perpetually darkness. Darker than most underground caverns often should be. The room was sealed tightly shut with the utmost care that not even worms could reach its interior.
A blue flame burst into existence and immediately the whole room was illuminated. The various shadows frolicked around the large table placed in the center of the table as they leapt in fear of the blinding light.
"This is disgusting, I do not see why we have to meet in such a dank place," a female voice complained as its owner began to appear at one of the five seats around the table. Her glowing white hair flowed from her head and tumbled over her shoulders to form an elaborate dress that consumed her form and cascaded on the floor. "It's so dark and plain."
"Oh yes.....Woe unlucky Mire should be seated somewhere plain." Another voice mocked. The speaker was a man with a thick brown beard, a grand helmet inscribed with many intricate runes of various sizes upon his brow th

"Master Slayer!"
Ace's brown head shot up as a messenger burst into his meeting room, panting heavily due to exhaustion. It took several moments for the messenger to regain his composure, and when he did, Ace instantly noticed the strong look of fear that resonated from his eyes.
"It's been confirmed," the messenger stated, still breathing hard, “Zagros is to arrive at the city in seven hours!"
The Divine Slayer closed his piercing blue eyes and placed his hands behind his head as he leaned back in his chair. All of the summoned Paladin’s, Shadow-Knights and squires present were standing before him silent as they waited for a response. A meeting as important and large as this one needed a room larger than the Divine Slayer's office, so they gathered in another meeting room. Messengers have been returning and leaving the city all morning, reporting the sighting of the Zagros, charging straight in the direction of Pandarum.
Now, everyone was standing, w
